Kia helped us over the phone with a problem that had rendered one Mac useless. He solved it in two minutes and didn't charge even though I offered him to pay.
Quite a difference with Apple dealers, they would have taken the thing, used the keyboard combinations to solve the problem, let us wait for a couple of weeks and then charged us a hefty amount or advised us to scrap it and buy a new Mac.
